A priest delivering hope of life
      Wei Ming-De, male, French, born in 1960, doctor of Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris, devoted to explore for the conflicts of various lives& cultures and search for the solutions, the incumbent director of Ricci Institute as a scholar, painter, poet and priest; he loved Chinese culture, arts, calligraphy, especially for poetry, painting and missionary work. He once visited Africa, France, Israel, Taiwan, mainland China and Japan, etc; "The Flavour of Heart and Heaven" composed by himself aims to explore the meaning of “Heaven” in everybody’s heart, and disclose the experience of “heart” through cross-culture exchange.
      His paintings also revealed his love to life, honesty and freedom. One of his favorites is sound--the sound of wind, said he during an interview with a French TV. Brush is thus a best tool of delivering the sounds of nature and his thinking, like Lang Shih-ning in 17th century who injected new vital force into Chinese painting, and composed “Le Grand Ricci” wining the honor of Sino-French Culture Award; his publication--Ritual for Expelling Ghosts: A religious classic of the Yi Nationality in Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan, delivered his care to every individual and human group, and also his hope to spread the seeds of lives into everybody’s heart and the soil of different cultures.
