  Chen Yi-Shiou, female, Taichung, born in 1984, graduated from Taichung City Ta Ye Junior High School; as a patient of a rare congenital Mediterranean anemia, she had to accept regular blood transfusion in the hospital, and inject Ferritin ten hours per day. She along with her father established “Taiwan Mediterranean Anemia Friend Association”, with its aim of providing a further insight into and preventing this disease.
