Climb art summit; promote handicapped talent and skills
Idea Chu, the most senior landscape art maestro, has been building dreams since he was very young. After dreams come true, he would “go back to zero” resolutely without the least hesitation looking for his next dream. For a long time, he holds believes of “respect the nature; defend the land; and love the people” to finish many wonderful art pieces. He was awarded “China Wen Zhou City Spiritual Landmark [Magnificent Art Heavenly Treasure] Landscape Sculpture International Contest Champion”, “Kaohsiung 228 Peace Park Spiritual Landmark Landscape Sculpture International Contest Champion”; he also has supervised more than 60% theme park in Taiwan such as Ming Dao Junior High School, Encore Garden, Dragon Valley Park, Dale Sculpture Park, Maolin National Natural Park, Liouciou Oceanic Park, Ling Tung University, Australia Ling Yen Shan Temple.

For pursuing his significant other Tseng Yu-chu, a gynecology nurse, he collected thousand of baby doll from everywhere in the world and gave a pair of dolls to her every time they date. His sincerity has touched her and his dream-building with love has come true. One pair of “Denmark Dolls” became their love memory and the “United Nation of baby dolls” is in the Guinness World Record. Dr. Idea Chu lives to find his dreams and fulfills his dream by surpassing art summit and promotes handicapped talent and skill; he deserved to be called “Hero of dream-building”.

      Growth in difficult
Born 1947 in Qingdao City, Shandong Province, Idea Chu followed his parents from Shanghai to Taiwan in 1949 and finished his studies in Taiwan Art University Department of Fine Arts, Japanese Agriculture University Graduate School of Landscaping, U.S. California International University Landscape Studies Ph.D. program, and Australia National Wollongong University post-doctorate studies.

He grew in a poor family of entry level government employees. Five members of his family were crowed in a building constructed without license, which has no kitchen and bathroom. The bamboo-made roof cannot hide them from storms and wind. They used the discarded floor-board as their bed and table. Therefore, “writing his assignment” can only be finished in school or done after his siblings sleep. “Studying” can only rely on the street lamp in the corner of alley. In this financial circumstance, he never gives up studying and dreaming; he finally finished the studies for junior and senior high schools and college education by work-study programs.

To work part-time, he used to be a worker in construction and building/moving/ cleaning/ farm field and worked in factory. When he was in college, he cannot afford tuition/ cannot buy books; he had to wash clothes for classmates to earn living expenses. The persistence of “do things people won’t do; endure the sorrow people won’t endure” has given him the ability to live through the difficult days when he was working and studying at the same time. He used to think: “Sometimes I feel sad when I was looked down by people because I was poor; sometimes I feel I was great in spirit because I was not afraid of difficulty and self-reliant.” The contradiction of these two feelings was resolved by the bright hope and beautiful dreams in his mind. The hardship and growth in the difficulty has become the motive power to push him upwards and cherish his success.
