Preserving health by purifying breath
Celia Chen, a senior lecturer of International Art Center of Living, a capable businesswoman, and a top seller of cars for twenty years. She is the first one who introduced Lexicomp computer dictionary to Hong Kong. However, she was suffered from breast cancer when her career reached its height. She refused to take an advised operation and went to India to visit Yoga master Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who created Purify Breathing method. The master pointed out that her problem lied in her busy life style. She took this respiratory therapy back to Taiwan and tried it by herself. Miraculously, she recovered.
With a thankful heart, Celia quit her job and became a lecturer of International Art Center of Living, and tried to popularize it all over Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia. She had initiated series of public welfare activities to help people find a right path to preserve health. She was really an Ambassador of Breathing.
Celia Chen, female, 63 years old, born on October 16, 1944 in Taipei County. She successfully introduced Lexicomp--a Taiwan computer dictionary brand into Hong Kong, which made her a famous businesswoman. Moreover, she had joined a series of public welfare activities, such as she set up “Lexicomp Scholarship” to help poor students finish their studies; she donated computer dictionaries to libraries in Taiwan and Hong Kong and she often went to charities like orphanages to help people there.
In 1996, she was diagnosed of breast cancer. She refused to have an operation. Later, she went to India to visit Yoga master Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. She tried this respiratory therapy and she miraculously recovered. Then, she tried to popularize Purify Breathing; on the other hand, she tried to teach people a right attitude toward life. She said we should live without any burden and improve our living quality.
Celia Chen often shared her attitude toward life with people: success in the world was not enough; we should succeed in life as well. The secret of success in life was to realize the essence of life--love.
Celia Chen also said the worst killer faced by the people in the new era was “negative emotion”. If people spent 20 minutes in purifying their breathing, the negative emotion would turn to be a positive one, and the hatred would turn to love. She had set a good example. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, master of Indian Yoga, once said, “Our body is a washing machine, our heart is clothes, love is pure water and knowledge is cleaning agent. The life cycle means a cycle of cleaning.
Three and half a years ago, Celia introduced Purify Breathing to Malaysia, where she made a great hit. Change Shih-Gui, at the late stage of liver cancer, performed this therapy together with his wife Wen Shiou-Chih. He not only recovered one year later, but also had a baby the other year. His story was reported all over Malaysia, and attracted the attention of Malaysian government. Later, “Art of Living” was accepted as a course by the Medical College of National Cheng Gung University. It’s believed that, as soon as people are physically and psychologically healthy, the medical waste will be sharply reduced. In this way, “National Health Preservation” program will be further developed.
