Music To Pallotti Ears
2015年2月19日 7News Belize

Palotti High School today received 100 musical instruments from a Taiwanese non-profit NGO known as the CTK Cultural and Education Foundation.

What makes this NGO noteworthy is that the directors were parents of a 10 year-old Taiwanese boy who lost his battle against cancer. Instead of mourning his death, they sought to celebrate his life by starting the organization to make donations of musical instruments to persons around the world. They focus on cancer survivors.

The foundation visited Belize, and they heard of Pallotti High School's music program. Impressed with the high school's approach to music education, the directors made a donation of 100 soprano recorders, which were handed over today. 7News was at the ceremony, and we spoke with both the Taiwanese Ambassador, and the school principal about the importance of this donation.

Here's what they told us: The CTK Cultural and Education Foundation has been in Belize since yesterday, and they leave on Saturday.
