2003 Send Love to Philippines – Spread Love of Taiwan
Date: February 8-15, 2013
1. Enhanced the public image of ROC, promoted citizen diplomacy, spread love from Taiwan, and enhanced the public image of humanitarian care of ROC.
2. Practiced "Boundless Love" and sent love to the Philippines, cared the disadvantaged sick children with actions, chatted and exchanged with the medical staff and concerned music and arts, and hence helped the public to cherish life, respect life and jointly recover the pure love of mankind.
3. Promoted the "three goodness action featuring love for life: on good terms with yourself – love your love, on good terms with others – respect others' life, and on good terms with the Earth – defend the life on Earth", jointly witnessed that "people are born to be good at different things, provided different outlook on life to the Philippine, replaced confrontations between social class with care and promoted spiritual rebuilding.
4. Witnessed by representatives of all walks of life from Taiwan and the Philippines, Chou Chin-Hua (Founder of Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation) put the ribbon of the 16th Fervent Global Love of Lives Award on Fr. Gerard. He welcomed Fr. Gerard to visit Taiwan from May 26 to June 1, 2013 to receive awards with Chen Chien- Hui (African Love Ambassador) and winners of Fervent Global Love of Lives Award from 16 countries in Taipei, and attended the public activities of caring life via walk.
5. Donated the copyright of Chou Ta-Kuan's I Still Have One Leg in the Philippines to the Healing Servants Foundation, and all income from publishing and selling the book permanently benefited more than 50,000 most vulnerable children with cancer in the Philippines.
6. Responded to the Philippine Red Cross, co-organized the "Run to Save Lives" and other many life-loving movements. More than 20,000 Philippine young people participated in the Run to Save Lives, which advocated: on good terms with yourself – love your life, on good terms with others – respect others' life, and on good terms with the Earth – defend the life on Earth.
7. Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation sent love to the Philippine children's cancer hospitals, orphanages, slums and school, performed Taiwan's folk songs with ocarina and saxophone, presented Taiwan souvenirs and shared life stories with others, and jointly witnessed that people were born to be good at different things.
8. Turned on a new page of transnational cooperation. Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation worked with Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and helped send 16-year-old anticancer angel Dornita Uy from a single parent family to receive treatment in Taiwan, breaking the ice and opening a new page of Taiwan's medical care by love.
9. Visited Sorsogon Healing Servants School and Sacred Heart School - Ateneo de Cebu, carried out activities of international life education and sharing, donated Chou Ta-Kuan's I Still Have One Leg, Light of Life - Chou Ta-Kuan, Wishes of a Little Star, 3499 Loves, and publications and document DVD by cancer-fighter His Eminence Cardinal Paul Shan Kuo-Hsi, S.J., including Live to Love, Sowing Love, Farewell to My Life, Completion of Life, and The Vacant Self, in order to spread the love of Chou Ta-Kuan and His Eminence.
