Send Love to Guatemala – To attend a series of public service activities like awards, book publication, donation, sharing, offering free treatment and performances

* Chou Chin-Hua (Founder of Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation), Guo Ying-Lan (President of Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation), Chou Shang-Guan (Director of International Exchange Center Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation), and Luo Yi-Yu (Deputy Director of International Exchange Center) led Dr. Wang Kuo-hsin (Head of the Love Doctors Volunteer Group), Liu Wen-Ching (Head of the Love Nurses Volunteer Group), Chang Yun-Wei (Leukemia Sunshine Angel), Chou Tien-Guan (Head of the Chou Ta-Kuan Children’s Ensemble), and Wang Hsuan-peng (Deputy Head of Chou Ta-Kuan Children’s Ensemble) to send their love to Guatemala
1. February 12 (Thu.) Visit the Ministry of Health of Guatemala; attend the awarding ceremony for Chen Chao-lung from Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, who received the Medal of Contribution in the Health Industry; lunch with Chen Tsu-Chien (Chairman of the Overseas Chinese Association in Guatemala) and Li Chih-Jen (President of the Association); visit the cultural hall; hold the donation ceremony; Afternoon: visit the Embassy of the Republic of Guatemala, hold the donation ceremony of “Let the Love of Taiwan Touch the World — Donation of I Still Have One Leg by Chou Ta-Kuan (English and Spanish version, published by Hope of Life International to raise fund for children’s cancer hospital, present the Fervent Global Love of Lives Award to Carlos Vargas.
2. February 12 (Fri.) Led by Carlos Vargas, the founder of Hope of Life International, the group visited schools, help centers, centers for disabilities, nursing homes, caring homes, green houses, project offices, study and internship experience parks for international volunteers. It handed out caring food in Smokey Mountain in the afternoon.
3. February 14 (Sat.) Offered free treatment and performances to the Guatemala Mayan tribes, and exchanged with the Mayan indigenous people via music.

 
4. February 15 (Sun.) Offered free treatment and performances to the southern Guatemala Mayan tribes, visited the Lake Livingston by boat and the Mayan ruins in the Lake. The Lake, and visited the Mayan ruins in the Lake.
5. February 16 (Mon.) Morning: led by Carlos Vargas, headed for the Mayan tribes in the mountainous areas to rescue the dying infants and children; afternoon: visited the northern Guatemala Mayan tribes with the American medical corps for free treatment and performances.
6. February 17 (Tue.) Donated 200 flutes for the of Life International schools, offered free performances and shared life stories. In the evening, Sun Ta-Cheng, the Taiwan’s ambassador to Guatemala, spent 3 hours to rush to the scene, communicated with and delivered a speech to people from home and abroad – specially called on all walks of life to buy I Still Have One Leg and facilitated Carlos Vargas to established the first child cancer hospital in Guatemala to benefit the impoverished children in Guatemala.
