6. Speech delivered by Chou Tien-Guan (Head of the Chou Ta-Kuan Children's Ensemble):
A School of Life
Chou Tien-Guan
Each person is unique
Dear brother: How are you?
Are you happy in the other world? I do not have the opportunity to participate in the 10 years when you lived in this world. If possible, I would like to know more about you.
I think you are unique, so am I and so is everyone.
From the moment I was born, it is always believed that I am you who return to the world. For my visit, everyone thinks that I am you. However, I don't believe in reincarnation, but I know there is a place for soul. Since I can breathe and have a constantly beating heart, and as long as I am still alive, there must be more for me to experience, to explore and to challenge.
The Life School has been opened
Everyone’s life is like a big school, where people need to learn different courses in different grades.
The fact that I'm alive means that I haven't obtained all credits.
All the time, some graduate from the school of life, and freshmen register.
You graduated from this school, and you are my senior. Since we are different individuals, what we experience and learned is different.
Life must have hope
Life is, in fact, shorter than anyone thinks. No one knows whether they can open their eyes tomorrow and nothing is taken for granted.
However, I know that God creates me for a purpose and that all things around me have its will.  Though like others, I am uncertain about the future, I have hope.
The God who created me said "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end. (Bible-Book of Jeremiah, 29:11)"
This is the promise given by the God we believe in! It is blessing that I can have different vision to see things around me.
See the needs of others
I am very grateful to you!
Because you gave me the opportunity to see the needs of others.
You enabled me to have more opportunities to travel around this beautiful world for you.
While my classmates are thinking how much they should take from the world, I think how much I can give the world.
We live in Taiwan, where the living conditions are not perfect, but we are more affluent than 50% of the world's people. In Taiwan, there is no civil war, no slums, no drought and no infectious diseases in third world countries. Thus, we really have been very happy!
The reason why God has given us more resources than others is to distribute those resources to others.
Send Love to the World
Thank you for giving me this opportunity, so I can have wider vision than others and to experience! To learn! To challenge! To help -- those people in the world who are not shone by the sun.
We have sent love to the world, from Africa to Central and South America, from Nepal to Kenya, from Thailand to India and from the Philippines to Belize. We fly a total of 300,000 kilometers, which exactly fulfills the dream written by older brother Chou Ta-Kuan in his poem "I still have one leg and can travel the beautiful world."   From sending love to the world, we take step by step, allowing us to have broader world outlook. Each foreign visit is a lesson about international charity, since the real experience is eye-opening for me, rendering me increasingly humble.
Finally, I tell you that I love you. Though I have not seen you, you will always be the best older brother in my mind.
Sincerely!
May you safe and happy in the other world!
