1. On the evening of October 16, 2024.
    A group of 15 Taiwanese cancer-fighting life warriors arrived in Beijing and were warmly received by Fu Chunsheng, President of the Zhongke Boai Psychological Medicine Research Institute (recipient of the 2012 Global Love of Life Medal), along with his wife and daughter, Fu Xiaohan, who encouraged the Taiwanese cancer-fighting life warriors.


2. Event on the morning of October 17, 2024.
    A group of 15 Taiwanese cancer-fighting life warriors visited the Beijing Qingai Foundation, where they were warmly received by Gao Shuqun, strategic advisor of the Beijing Qingai Education Foundation; Vice Chairwoman and Secretary-General Xing Haiyan; Council Member Zheng Yan; Deputy Director of the Academic Committee Lei Zhitian; and Tan Jingyu, an expert from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Qingai Think Tank. The Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation donated 100 copies of inspirational books, including Chou Ta-Kuan’s posthumous work I Still Have One Leg and stories of cancer-fighting life warriors from both sides of the Taiwan Strait. The group expressed a strong hope that youth from both sides would join hands and hearts in kindness, spreading the positive energy of “one family across the Strait, letting love take flight.”
    Following the launch of the “Finding Mothers’ Stories in Taiwan” event in Changsha in March 2024, the Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation and the Beijing Qingai Education Foundation reached a strong consensus for cooperation. In September 2024, Zhang Yinjun, chairwoman of the Beijing Qingai Education Foundation, traveled to Taiwan to participate in the Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation’s “Love the Earth, Live Life Well—2024 27th Global Love of Life Medal Recipients’ Gathering and Life-Caring Charitable Series.” During the event, the Beijing Qingai Education Foundation’s Mother’s Love Academy held an inauguration ceremony at Fo Guang University, marking a significant step toward establishing a “Cross-Strait Mother’s Love Education Alliance.”
    Gao Shuqun, strategic advisor of the Beijing Qingai Foundation, stated that the Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation was founded with the initial mission of Chou Chin-Hua and Guo Ying-Lan to transform their love for nurturing children into a remarkable charitable system. Though the two foundations have different origins, their shared commitment to cherishing life and fostering its healthy growth unites them in purpose and action. He expressed hope for deeper collaboration between the two foundations, the closest partners across the Strait, to jointly advance global life education.
    During the meeting, Gao Shuqun provided a detailed explanation of the vision for a “United Nations Mother’s Love University.” He emphasized that mothers are the root of love, and mother’s love education is the most fundamental and original form of education. He called for collaboration with the Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation and compatriots worldwide to advance the establishment of the world’s first shared university for mother’s love education, contributing greater strength to empowering mothers globally.




    

    

    

    

3. Event on the afternoon of October 17, 2024.
     A group of 15 Taiwanese cancer-fighting life warriors visited the Beijing Smart Technology Education Group, where they were warmly received by Chairman Wu Zhi and his team. The Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation donated 20 copies of inspirational books, including Chou Ta-Kuan’s posthumous work I Still Have One Leg and stories of life warriors from both sides of the Taiwan Strait. The group engaged in exchanges with teachers and students, mutually encouraging three principles： be good to yourself—cherish your own life; be good to others—respect the lives of others; and be good to the Earth—protect the planet’s life.




4. Event on the evening of October 17, 2024.
    A group of 15 Taiwanese cancer-fighting life warriors visited the Beijing Xianghe Healthcare Center, where they were warmly received by Director Wan Sujian, recipient of the 2016 Global Love of Life Medal. Wan shared the “Baguaxundao Qigong Guidance Technique,” a practice he created by integrating top traditional Chinese martial arts schools, renowned in countries such as Sweden, the United States, France, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Japan. The group engaged in in-depth discussions on traditional wellness and qigong practices. The Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation donated 20 copies of inspirational books, including Chou Ta-Kuan’s posthumous work I Still Have One Leg and stories of life warriors from both sides of the Taiwan Strait.




5. Event on the morning of October 18, 2024.
    A group of 15 Taiwanese cancer-fighting life warriors visited the Beijing Miyun Zhonggang Huisheng Children’s Behavior Correction Center, where they were warmly received by teacher Cao Ying and her team. As the first comprehensive autism service center in mainland China, the center offers services including： Early Childhood Rehabilitation, providing various rehabilitation training for children with autism, developmental delays, and Down syndrome; Youth Home, adopting Japan’s established Bukino-sato model to provide residential care, vocational skills training, and employment pathways for autistic teenagers; Parent Club, offering parent training to support children with autism spectrum disorders in various settings, such as institutions and schools; and Charitable Activities, where volunteers listen to the voices of autistic children and engage in ongoing charitable efforts to support autism rehabilitation education. The Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation donated 50 copies of inspirational books, including Chou Ta-Kuan’s posthumous work I Still Have One Leg and stories of life warriors from both sides of the Taiwan Strait. The foundation also committed to long-term sponsorship for Beijing’s autistic and Down syndrome children to hold art exhibition fundraisers and life journeys in Taiwan.




    

6. Event on the Afternoon of October 18, 2024.
    A group of 15 Taiwanese cancer-fighting life warriors visited Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, where they were warmly received by Dr. Lu Guijun, Director of the Pain Department and Executive Director of the China Life Care Association, along with his team. Dr. Lu shared insights on life education, cancer pain management, grief counseling, and palliative care, emphasizing that “to live with love leaves no regrets in parting.” He noted that death is a significant topic that every individual and family must address with effort. The Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation donated 100 copies of inspirational books, including Chou Ta-Kuan’s posthumous work I Still Have One Leg and stories of life warriors from both sides of the Taiwan Strait. The foundation also committed to long-term sponsorship for Beijing’s children with cancer to participate in life journeys to Taiwan, as well as an annual initiative to collect donated hair across Taiwan to create 1,000 wigs for women and children with cancer on both sides of the Strait. These wigs, made from hair donated by Taiwanese students, enable women and children with cancer in mainland China to seek medical care, attend school, or work with dignity.
    According to global big data on childhood cancer, 3 out of every 10,000 children are diagnosed with cancer. These children often bear immense suffering, and the lengthy cancer treatment process is extremely challenging, urgently requiring support from all sectors of society.
