Send Love to Beijing and Prepare to Set up Ta-Kuan Children's Rehabilitation Hope Hospital
1. April 11 (Sat.): Upon invitation of the Ministry of Health, the Beijing Health Bureau, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council PRC, and the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits in mainland China, Chou Chin-Hua (Founder of Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation), Guo Ying-Lan (President of Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation), Ying Kun-Hui (Head Consultant of Love Doctors Volunteer Group), Lu Pao-Hua (President, Hainan Jiang Haipeng Fisheries), Chou Chin-Tsai (General Manager), Sung Ya-Ching (Legless Mother), and Kuan Hao-Yueh (volunteer of the Love Sister Volunteer Group) sent love to Beijing. Chang Yung-Sheng (President, Hi-Q Marine Biotech International Ltd., President, Taiwan United Cancer Fighting Association) organized a banquet of exchanges.
2. April 12 (Sun.): In the morning, Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation and other members exchanged with Wang Hsiao-Ping (Assistant Secretary-General, Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits), Liu Chen-Hsien (Honorary Chairman, China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment R&D-based Pharmaceutical Association Committee). In the afternoon, they exchanged with Hsiao Wei (Secretary-General, China Society for the Promotion of Science and Technology Commercialization) and Tseng Shan (Partner, Cybernaut Investment Group).
3. April 13 (Mon.): In the morning, Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation and other members, accompanied by Liaison Department of Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits), visited the Beijing Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning), and exchanged with Pao Hwa (Director, Office of International Cooperation), Kao Chen-Sheng (Deputy Director, Taiwan Affairs Office of Beijing Municipal Government), Li Yueh-Chen (Director), and Tien Chien (Superintendent's assistant, Nanjing Children's Hospital). In the afternoon, the group visited the Sung Ya-Ching Rehabilitation Hospital, whose comprehensive Zen meditation, Qigong, massage, acupuncture, meditation and other traditional Chinese rehabilitation methods are quite popular with American people.
4. April 14 (Tue.): Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation and other members visited Lu Daopei Blood and Cancer Center -- Hebei Yada Hospital, was received by the father of stem cell transplant in China, Lou Tao-Pei (member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering), listened to briefings and exchanged with him. Accompanied by ung Chun-Jung (Director of Hematology) and Wu Tung (Director of Transplantation), the members observed medical facilities and cared for the sick children fighting for life.
