2003 Send Love to Zhejiang and Henan
Date: November 16-21, 2003

Guo Ying-Lan (President of Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation), Sophia Chao (Vice President & Executive CEO), Sun Hsin-I (Deputy CEO), Tang Shao-Cheng (Supervisor), Chou Shang-Guan (Head of the Chou Ta-Kuan Children's Ensemble), and Mother of Love Volunteer Group held the "Send Love to China Charity Events", and went to the No.13 Middle School to award the medal of "Good Books are Read by Everyone" issued by the Council for Cultural Affairs to the winner of the Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation First Literary Composition Award, Wu Tao. Besides, they also paid a visit to The First Affiliated Hospital of Medical School of Zhejiang University, Hangxhou Children's Welfare Institute, and Henan Province Mayezhuang Hope Primary School to encourage Tsao Chin (Sunshine Girl), and show care for Ma Wen-Chung (DMD Warrior), Ku Ching-Yu couple and other people fighting for life.
Ma Wen-Chung cannot completely stand due to muscular dystrophy and cannot take care of himself, but he cherishes a great dream: to own a school, so that the dropouts can acquire knowledge and hence get rid of poverty. Moved by Ma Wen-Chung, Ku Ching-Yu abandoned his affluent life, left hometown and created a Hope Primary School with Ma Wen-Chung, and became the wife of Ma Wen-Chung.  Poverty and hardship do not beat them down. After untold hardships, they nurtured large numbers of excellent students, and their greatest dream is to build a new Hope Primary School which always stands on the Yellow River bank.  The moving story that Ma Wen-Chung and Ku Ching-Yu wanted to build a Hope Primary School seemed to have wings to fly over countries and oceans to soar in everyone's heart.
