      Life is priceless——
      because the stream of life is full of love.

      To care for more babies like Ta-Kuan, Master Cheng Yen brought over “bead and Buddha dharma”. This is the life bead given to every baby and also the love-fulfilled Buddha dharma on earth.
      To care for more babies like Ta-Kuan, Director Li Chung-Kui of the China Youth Corps brought over the medal of the “Youth Award”. This is the life medal given to every baby and also the affirmation of love on earth.

       To care for more babies like Ta-Kuan, Provincial Governor James Soong brought over the medal of the “Filial Piety Award” and “Chung Hsing Literary Award”. This is the life medal given to every baby and also the encouragement of love on earth.
      To care for more babies like Ta-Kuan, Presidential Office Secretary-General Huang Kun-Hui brought over the medal of the “Presidential Office Award”. This is the life medal given to every baby and also the affirmation of love on earth.

      To care for more babies like Ta-Kuan, Vice President and Premier Lien Chan brought over the “blessing flowers”. This is the life flower given to every baby and also the blessing of love on earth.

      To care for more babies like Ta-Kuan, Prof. Chiou Po-An of the Graduate Institute of Chinese Art of the University of California USA and Mrs. Cho Shao-Lan, Prof. Wang Bang-Hsiung of the National Central University and Mrs. Wang Cai-Feng, Principal Hong Shiou-Hua of Hsindien City Da Feng Elementary School, Principal Tsai Ching-Chih of Chung Cheng Elementary School, Director-general Lin Chen Shiou-Mei of Taiwan Life Line International and Master Hsin Dao of Ling Jiou Mountain Buddhist Society brought over the “Medal of Affection”. This is the life medal given to every baby and also the rolling wheel of love on earth.

      To care for more babies like Ta-Kuan, President Wang Cuo-Rong of the Control Yuan and members of the Love Group, Taipei City Mayor Chen Shui-Bian, Minister of Justice Liao Cheng-Hao and Director-general Wang Rong-Chou of the Bureau of Investigation brought over “fairy tale music and books”. This is the life fairy tale given to every baby and also the witness of love on earth.
      To care for more babies like Ta-Kuan, media reporters devoted every effort to “report the truth”. This is the life news given to everyone on this planet and also the support of love on earth.

      To care for more babies like Ta-Kuan, President Dai Tung-Yuan of the National Taiwan University Hospital and all medical staffs of Ward 7D continued to “give shots and feed medicine” to patients without rest and “diagnose and examine” patients with full attention. This is the life treatment given to every baby and also the service of love on earth.

      To care for more babies like Ta-Kuan, publisher Le Chen-chun of Mandarin Daily News, editor-in-chief Chiang Chu-chun, manager Lai Ching-Hsiung of the Publishing Department, editor Chen Min-Chian and Li Chun-Hsiao, and all other staffs contributed their time day and night to edit the two books, “I Still Have One Leg” and “Ta-Kuan-- Voice from a Cancer Child” and president Wang Rong-Wen of Yuan-Liou Publishing Company continued to take on the job voluntarily to have them published. We have put all book sale revenue together to establish the “Chou Ta-Kuan Cultural and Educational Foundation” in order to help more children in need. This is the life poem given to everyone on this planet and also the gift of love on earth.
      Even though life is a solo trip of one-way ticket, the stream of life is filled with love. With love, we swim together and shall never be alone or lonely. There may be joy or sadness, and the endless cycle of birth, aging, sickness and death. As long as we face it calmly, we possess courage and wisdom as well as brightness and hope.

      We wish everyone shall cherish life like Ta-Kuan baby and swim safely together.

      We are fine today. We are also fine tomorrow. We are even better the day after tomorrow. We are fine every day.
